It all comes down to this…

These last 3 weeks are going to be the biggest weeks of our track & field season. All the training we had put in all year comes down to this. The question still remains, are we ready to win our 5th straight sunset league championship? Are we ready for these last few weeks? We must take this into our own hands if we want to win again.

This week we face Edison, our schools biggest rival. They have a strong reputation of talking trash on our school because they repeatedly beat us in the annual Bell Game. Even though they beat us in football, we get them back in track & field. This year is going to be the closest it has ever been. Based on our stats, we are still projected to win, but only by a slim margin. However, we were projected to beat Marina by a large margin but it still somehow came close.

Even though we are projected to win this meet we must keep our eyes on the prize and make sure we kick them down to the dirt because anything can happen. Even though Edison is our school’s biggest rival, Los Alamitos is track’s biggest rival. Every single year it has been close. This year is going to be the closest it has ever been. Based on both of our stats, we are expected to end in a tie. If we want to win, we must bring our A-Game and make sure to hit our marks otherwise we will have to witness Los Al steal our sunset league championship away. We didn’t train all summer, fall, winter and now spring to finish second. We trained to carry on the legacy former Barons had laid down on us, to win our 5th straight sunset league championship.
